JKLF chief Yasin Malik released

Srinagar, Apr 14: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik was, on Saturday, released from central Jail, Srinagar after remaining lodged there for two days.

“JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Vice-Chairman Mushtaq Ajmal and Zahoor Ahmad Butt along with APHC (M) leader Hilal Ahmad Waar have been released from central jail Srinagar today while as JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, vice-organizer Siraj ud din Mir, district president Baramulla Abdul Rashid Magloo still remain incarcerated at Srinagar central jail, Kreeri police station and Baramulla sub-jail respectively,” A press release issued here said.

Malik was arrested on April 12 while he was leading a protest in Srinagar against the killing of four civilians in Kulgam and gangrape-and-murder of Asifa in Jammu. He was later shifted to central jail.
