DC Baramulla reviews SSB exam arrangements

BARAMULLA, APRIL 5: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of forthcoming Services Selection Board examinations scheduled from 21st April for different categories of posts.

Meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Education Officer, heads of different educational institutions where the examination centers have been set-ups and various others concerned.

It was informed that a total of 11355 candidates are appearing for different posts in about 31 centers across the district.

Threadbare discussions were held with regarding to the posting of staff, examination observers, seating and accommodation arrangements and other necessary facilities. The DC directed the concerned to ensure the smooth conduct of examination besides directing the officers to deploy sufficient staff at the centers and for the transportation of examination material. Moreover, it was also said that section 144 CrPc shall also remain in effect around exam centers.

Later, ADC who is also the nodal officer inspected some centers to get the first-hand appraisal of the facilities in these centers. He was accompanied by various officers of the district administration.
