Army compensates its civil porter
Srinagar, March 25: The Army today said it has compensated a civilian porter who has suffered injuries in the month of January.
According to an Army spokesperson, one Faiyaz Ahmad, a resident of Dringla village Gundi Shat in Tangdhar, was enrolled as a defence porter with the Porter Company and worked with complete dedication.
On January 24, 2017, Faiyaz Ahmad accidentally slipped on a rocky patch and sustained multiple injuries and was bedridden post-hospitalisation.
“Last week, the Army handed over a compensation of Rs 2,76,682 to Faiyaz Ahmad in appreciation of his sterling work for the organization,” spokesperson said, adding that this gesture was appreciated by him and his family members.
