Injured in PaK police firing, JKLF man dies

Muzaffarabad: A Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) activist, who was hit by a direct fire by police in Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) succumbed to his injuries today.

A few days back, JKLF activists had taken to streets in Pak opposing cross LoC firing. The procession was fired upon by PaK police leaving several injured.

JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik had condemned the police action and his condemnation was reported in almost all newspapers in Kashmir.

However, reports suggest that one JKLF activist, Naeem Bhat, who was hit by police bullets during the protests, succumbed to injuries today at an Islamabad hospital.

On March 16, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Mohmmad Yasin Malik had condemned the police action on a JKLF rally in Pakistan-administered-Kashmir’s capital city Muzaffarabad.

JKLF spokesperson in a statement issued had said that a protest march was taken out by JKLF Pakistan-administered-Kashmir (PaK) chapter “against direct shelling and firings by Indian army and forces on common citizens living alongside the LoC in PaK in which men, women, children and cattle were being killed with impunity and crops, residential houses and other public properties are being destroyed.”
