Shopian police organizes Career counselling programme

Srinagar, March 19: Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (JKEDI) organized a career counseling session at District Police Lines Shopian.

A police spokesman, in a statement said that a good number of unemployed youth of Shopian district participated in the programme. At the outset of the programme, SSP Shopian Shriram Ambarkar welcomed all the participants.

District officer JKEDI Shopian delivered a lecture in which he elaborated various government sponsored schemes with regard to self employment. He also cleared the doubts raised by some of the participants. The participants were advised to avail the benefits of the schemes by establishment of their business units.

SSP Shopian assured the youth that every possible assistance will be provided to them and such programmes will be organized in future also. This is a regular feature of Shopian Police to channelise the energy of youth in a constructive way.

Additional SP Shopian, DySsP and SHO’s of the district were also present on the occasion.
