Employees’ delegation meets Chief Minister

Seeks cadre review implementation, more funds for raising employees’ accommodation, pay anomaly removal; CM assures sympathetic consideration

JAMMU, MARCH 16: A delegation of members of Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employees Union called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.

The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for many of the pro employee measures taken by Government which have re motivated them to work with dedication and zeal.

The delegation, led by its President, Ghulam Rasool Mir, also sought implementation of the recommendations of R K Goyal committee on cadre review of different services. Besides, they also demanded carving out of a Cell in various Departments for looking into the issues of promotions, career progression, seniority and other issues.

The other demands put forth by the delegation included release of substantial funds for raising of accommodation for employees and pacing up of the construction works at Sarwal, Pampore, Panjtirthi and Ahata Amar Singh. They thanked the Chief Minister for allotment of accommodation in respect of handicapped, women, specially abled and sick employees in relaxation of rules and sought its continuation.

The delegation also demanded strict discouragement of attachments, revisiting SRO-202 and simultaneous removal of pay anomalies at the time of implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations.

The Chief Minister told the delegation that she has been working for addressing the demands of every section of society. She assured them that her Government would address the issues raised by them with utmost positivity and sympathetic consideration.
