Sharjah:  Peshawar Zalmi thrashed Lahore Qalandars in the 14th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition with a 10-wicket win in Sharjah on Saturday night .

After deciding to bat first, yet again, Qalandars looked set for a big score after managing to reach 57 for one in the seventh over.

However, another monumental collapse saw them all out for just 100 runs in the 18th over.

Opener Fakhar Zaman finished the innings with the top score of 30 off 17 with the help of four fours and two sixes.

For Zalmi, pacer Hasan Ali and left-arm spinner Liam Dawson were the pick of the bowlers, as they claimed three wickets each.

Chasing 101 was never going to be tough for the defending champions, and so it proved to be as they crossed the line in the 14th over without losing a wicket.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal remained unbeaten on 57 off 47 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes, whereas Tamim Iqbal remained not out on 37 off 35 with the help of four boundaries.
