JAMMU, MARCH 03: In its continuous drive against evasion of Goods and Services Tax (GST), the State Taxes Department detected unregistered service providers supplying services of rental and leasing, having a taxable turnover of more than Rs. 45 crore in Gandhi Nagar, Bahu Plaza, Channi and Narwal.

Taking action against the defaulters, the jurisdictional authorities under the supervision of Additional Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Adm.), Jammu have recovered Goods and Services Tax dues to the tune of Rs. 1.40 crore and brought all the defaulting suppliers under the ambit of taxation in accordance with the GST legislation applicable in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
