Demands expansion of cross LoC permits to include religious, heritage tourism

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 28: A delegation of Save Shardh Committee Kashmir called on Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.

The delegation headed by Founder Member, Ravinder Pandita demanded that the ancient Shardha Peth temple across the LoC be thrown open to members of Kashmir Pandit community and also the cross-LoC permits be expanded to include religious and heritage tourism. This, the delegation pleaded, would further intensify the people to people contacts across LoC.

Appreciating the efforts of the Committee, the Chief Minister asked the committee members to continue with its efforts of reviving their cultural ethos and building bridges of peace through it. She assured the delegation to raise the issue with the Central Government.
