Seven gamblers arrested in Ganderbal
Srinagar, February 22: Ganderbal police has arrested seven gamblers and recovered stake money of rupees 5300 from the spot.
Acting on an information, a police team of Ganderbal police raided a gambling site at Sheikhzoo Ganderbal. During the raid, seven gamblers who were identified as Toufeeq Ahmad Guru son of Sater, Asif Ahmad Kaloo son of Gh Nabi, Mohd Ashraf Guru son of Jamal residents of Naninara Sumbal, Mohd Maqbool Dar son of Ramzan, Ab Rashid Guru son of Mohd Aziz residents of Sheikhzoo, Nazir Ahmad Guru son of Gh Mohd resident of Waskura and Naseer Ahmad Beigh son of Ali Mohd resident of Wangipora Sumbal were arrested. Stake money of rupees 5300/- has been recovered from the spot.
A case FIR number 31/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
