KAS Officers Association protests misbehavior with colleague

Jammu: A delegation of KAS Officers Association led by its President Tasaduq Mir today called on the Chief Secretary to appraise him about the incident of misbehaviour with one of their colleagues Shafiq Ahmed Chek Director RUSA by Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Asgar Hasan Samoon.

In a statement issued here, a spokesman of Association said the Chief Secretary described the incident as an unfortunate one and assured the delegation that the matter will be seriously looked into. The Association appraised the Chief Secretary about the increasing prevalence of such unfortunate incidents of misbehavior with officers which has a demotivating effect on them, besides leading to an erosion of professional etiquettes.

In order to address the issue, the Chief secretary assured the delegation that a Specific Advisory will be issued to the Government Officers for regulating their behaviour and conduct in the professional lives in keeping with the provisions of J&K Civil Service Conduct Rules. The Chief Secretary underscored the need to uphold the highest standards of professional etiquettes by Officers both in professional and public life, and maintenance of harmonious relationship at workplaces.
