LoC: BSF soldier killed

Srinagar/New Delhi, Feb 20 : A BSF soldier was today killed after he was hit by a Pakistani sniper fire from across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tangdhar, officials said.

The sources said the soldier was deployed at a forward defended location (FDL) along the LoC in the area, when a sniper shot hit him in the stomach.

Identified as as S K Murmo, the BSF trooper was shifted to Army Base Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

Hailing from Bihar, the jawan had joined BSF in 2013.
