Delegation of J&K Sikh Youth organization meets Governor
JAMMU, JANUARY 19: A delegation of J&K Sikh Youth organization led by its Chairman S. Amanjeet Singh, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Highlighting some issues particularly pertaining to Sikh Community, the delegation demanded early installation of statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at Kunjwani Chowk; developing Hockey Stadium at Gole Gujral; implementation of decision in letter and spirit with regard to development of Gole Gujral as Model Village; introduction of Punjabi language in schools; provision of security to Sarpanchs and Panchs elected in Kashmir Division, and proper representation of Sikh Community in decision making bodies.
Governor assured the delegation that due consideration would be given to the demands for their early redressal.
