Kaleem Reyaz named for ‘World Thai boxing Championship’ 

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 08: A 9-year-old boy Kaleem Reyaz from Manigam Ganderbal won silver medal in Thai boxing National Federation Cup which was held in Punjab, India.

Taking everyone by surprise Kaleem stormed into finals and won silver medal for J&K.

While expressing jubilation father of Kaleem, Reyaz Ahmad sheikh, said: “It is a proud moment for me. Initially, I was reluctant to allow him participate in the Federation Cup, but later I allowed him to do so and it was then that I realized my decision was right.”

Kaleem’s coach, Sikandar Farooq, said: “He is a good player and his performance was phenomenal. He has a great potential and with his success Thaiboxing will gain prominence in the state.”

Considering the outstanding performance of Kaleem, selectors have named him for World Thaiboxing Championship, which will be held in Goa next month.
