Tral shuts to mourn militant killing
Srinagar: Tral town of Pulwama district in south Kashmir is observed a complete shutdown today on Saturday to mourn the killing of a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant in a gunfight with security forces on Friday.
Local sources said that all the shops and business establishments were shut while traffic was off the roads.
A Jaish-e-Muhammad militant, whom the police identified as Anwar of Pakistani origin, was killed during a day-long gunfight with security forces in Darganaie Gund village of Tral on Friday after a joint team of police, CRPF, and army cordoned the village.
In the gunfight, one policeman too sustained injuries.
