Militants attack DPL Shopian
Shopian, Oct 27: Militants on Saturday evening attacked District Police Lines in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said that militants fired several shots towards the main gate of District Police Lines Shopian in Digam area on the outskirts of town around 6:50 PM. The fire was returned by the policemen guarding the gate, forcing the militants to flee, the official said, adding no casualties were reported from the either side.
This is the second militant attack in the town in past 24 hours. Last evening, militants attacked a police camp stationed at Gagran area of town.
