“Had come home to mourn his son’s accidental death”

Srinagar, Sep 17: Militants on Monday shot dead a Territorial Army soldier in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, police said.

The militants barged into the house of Mukhtar Ahmad Malik at Shurat in Kulgam and shot at him from a close range, a police official said.

The official said Malik, a soldier in the Territorial Army 162 Bn, died on the spot.
