Budgam journalists’ body meets Dr Sehrish, demand press club for district
Budgam, July 06: The Budgam Working Journalists Federation (BWJF) on Friday met Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar at her office and demanded establishment of press club in the district.
The representatives of BWJF told newly posted district head that the establishment of press club is a panacea to all the issues pertaining to the fraternity.
Dr Sehrish was informed that media persons of the area were facing problems due to the absence of press club as they do not have a permanent place to work.

The BWJF also urged Dr Sehrish to take steps for ensuring the safety of journalists while performing their professional duties.
While giving patient hearing, Dr Sehrish assured the journalists body that all their genuine demands would be met.
The BWJF representatives comprised of President Sheikh Tariq (DD News), Vice President Samiullah Magray (News 18 Urdu), General Secretary Mohammad Ashraf (Gulistan), Spokesperson Abid Hussain (Kashmir Images) and Manzoor Ahmad (Rising Kashmir).
