Srinagar, May 30: United Jehad Council (UJC), a conglomerate of militant outfits, Wednesday said that it will support the dialogue process and will cooperate if India accepts Kashmir as a dispute and will resolve it in light of the United Nations resolutions.

As per a statement to news agency CNS, the UJC chief Syed Salahuddin while addressing a gathering in Muzaffarabad said that they welcome the ceasefire initiative initiated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

He, however, said that this initiative will materialize only when India will show honesty, seriousness, and character.

“India has wounded the hearts of Kashmiri people to an extent that none is going to believe in India’s war. If India is really sincere and serious about dialogue then it should respect the aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said and lauded the role of freedom-loving people and Hurriyat leadership of Kashmir.
