2 die, 5 injured in Kupwara accident

Kupwara, May 28: Two persons died and five others were injured in a road accident in Kralpora area of Kupwara in north Kashmir on Monday.

Reports said that a load-carrier rolled down into a deep gorge at Manchatar, resulting into death of two persons including a teenaged boy. Five persons were injured in the mishap.

The deceased were identified as Raees Ahmad and 16-year-old Parvez Ahmad Khwaja of Dardpora Kupwara.

The injured were rushed to Kupwara hospital wherefrom four seriously injured were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

In another accident, a 45-year-old man was critically injured in a road accident in Sopore.

Reports said that Arshid Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Khaliq of Watergam Rafiabad, was critically injured when his car turned turtle at bypass near Syedpora Sopore.
